Philanthropic Activities

Throughout the years, the Brotherhood has contributed to many causes here in the United States and in our hometown of Litohoro. We have contributed, and still do so annually to the Ronald McDonald House in an effort to help Greek families struggling while awaiting treatment for various disabilities. Furthermore, we have sent countless donations to the annual Greek Telethons which are held here in New York .

The assistance the Brotherhood provides does not stop only here in New York and the U.S., but also in Litohoro. Throughout the years, the Brotherhood has sent endless amounts of monetary contributions to the Filoptoho of Litohoro which provides assistance to Litohorians. The Brotherhood has recently donated a computer to one of the highschools in Litohoro and also provides monetary contributions to Apollona, Litohoro's soccer team.

In most recent times, the Litohorian Brotherhood "Olympos" along with the Silloyo Katerinioton, have set up an account in Atlantic Bank of New York with the sole purpose of helping a young little girl with cancer. This historic and most proud event is a first between the Litohorian Brotherhood "Olympos" and the Silloyo Katerinioton. If anyone would like further information in regards to helping this young girl's cause please contact the Vice-President, Mr. Nicolas Chasabenis via email.

In 1988, the Litohorian Brotherhood donated a fully equipped "VOLKSWAGEN" ambulance, to the Litohoro Health Center which at the time did not have an ambulance in its service. The donation was accepted by the then mayor, Athanasios Katsamakas. Present at the donation were the then president of the Litohorian Brotherhood, Diamandis Diamandopoulos and many local citizens.
